My two oil paintings, “Land and Ashore”, depict vegetation and terrain that have been changed by global warming, as observed from a bird’s eye view. I used Google Images to research many photos of islands and mountains that show the effects of climate change. Based on these pictures, I created these two pieces of places that used to display rich green hues, but now, while they remain “colorful”, no longer appear healthy . Many plants are not surviving the rising temperature in our atmosphere, and are being replaced by non-native plants or deserts. How are we going to cool down our earth? That will demand all of us to change our lifestyles.
